The GMDP Program is designed to develop the management and governance skills of senior executives through theoretical and practical exercises based around Real World examples. Using the latest adult learning techniques, participants are provided with core concepts and principles to explain topics followed by challenging syndicate and individual case studies, and then visits to good practice organisations that provide practical examples of problem solving by managers. Ciptanet has delivered many GMDP-related courses to executives from many countries. It is a ‘mini-MBA’ course designed especially for developing country executives seeking time critical updates for maximum results.
The GMDP Course is a 4-week program that provides an overview of the core elements of good governance and sound management necessary to achieve high performing governments and organisations. It includes topics within 3 component groups –
Planning and performance – including leadership, strategic thinking and planning, leadership, performance management and reporting;
Financial management – including budgeting, revenue and expenditure management , asset management, cash management, liability management, equity (investment) management , privatisation, financial reporting (external) and internal management reporting; and,
Cross cutting management areas – individual and organisational development, information technology, governance and risk management. Governance includes promoting values and ethics, monitoring and review procedures and promoting the pillars of responsibility, accountability, transparency and equity (fairness).
